Biochemical characteristics of Chitosan
Time:2022.03.29

The chemical structure of chitosan is similar to that of cellulose. Many hydroxyl groups and amino groups are distributed on the macromolecular chain of chitosan, which makes it have good solubility and reactivity. Therefore, chitosan has good biocompatibility, adsorption, film-forming, permeability, fiber-forming, moisture absorption and moisture retention.
Chitosan also has good broad-spectrum antibacterial, anti infective and strong coagulation effects, as well as various physiological activities such as promoting wound healing, analgesia, regulating blood lipid and reducing cholesterol, improving immunity and anti-tumor. It is an ideal raw material for medical dressings
Gold chitosan indicates that the method of spinning chitosan fiber is wet spinning method. The general process is to dissolve chitosan in a suitable solvent to prepare a certain concentration of spinning stock solution. After filtration and defoaming, the stock solution is sprayed into the coagulation bath in a fine flow form from the small hole of the spinneret with pressure, which is solidified into solid fiber in the coagulation bath, and then the chitosan fiber is obtained after stretching, washing, drying and other post-treatment. The properties of spinning stock solution are the key to spinnability and fiber properties. The preparation process and rheological properties of spinning stock solution, and the volume fraction of acetic acid, mass fraction of chitosan and spinnability of spinning stock solution were determined. The degree of deacetylation plays a leading role in the solubility of chitosan. The degree of deacetylation should be improved as much as possible in the preparation of spinning stock solution.
