Is carboxymethyl chitosan extracted from animals?
Time:2022.11.30

Chitosan is generally extracted from the shells of marine arthropods such as shrimp and crab. However, it is also found in insect crustaceans, fungi (such as mushrooms), algal cell membranes, and cell walls of higher plants. It is not common because of low content and complex extraction, and low extraction yield.
Gold chitosan high-density chitosan indicates that carboxymethyl chitosan is made of chitosan as raw material and then chemically processed.
